Text Message Consent
This page explains every text message It's Called Pride sends, how you agree to receive one, and how to stop.
What we send
When a business owner or Pride event coordinator claims their listing, they can choose to verify by text message. We send a one-time, 6-digit verification code to the phone number already stored on that listing, to confirm they control it. That is the only kind of text we send — never marketing or promotions.
How you agree (opt-in)
- Opt-in happens on our website only — there is no opt-in by phone call, paper form, QR code or by texting a keyword.
- You must be signed in, enter the listing number from your invite email, and tick an unchecked consent box before any code is sent.
- The number is never typed in: we only text the phone number already on file for that listing.
- Verifying by email is always available as an alternative if you prefer not to receive texts.

Frequency and cost
Codes are sent only when you request one — at most 5 codes per hour. Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile plan.
Help and opting out
Reply STOP to any message to cancel, or HELP for help. Because we only send codes you request, replying STOP means Twilio blocks further texts from our toll-free number and sends its standard opt-out confirmation. Checking the website consent box does not override that block. You can use email verification instead. Questions? Email admin@itscalledpride.com.
